No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to allow a judge to sentence low-level drug offenders, whose adjudication of guilt followed a placement on deferred adjudication community supervision, to a state jail facility.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
