IN RE:	HB926 by Haggerty (Relating to judicial discretion to order a sentence executed for a defendant placed on deferred adjudication community supervision for certain state jail felonies.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to allow a judge to sentence low-level drug offenders, whose adjudication of guilt followed a placement on deferred adjudication community supervision, to a state jail facility.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
