IN RE:
HB988 by Isett, Carl (Relating to an award of additional periods of possession of or access to a child for certain conservators who have returned from active military deployment.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code relating to an award of additional periods of possession of or access to a child for certain conservators who have returned from active military deployment.  The bill would allow a conservator returning from active deployment to petition the court for additional periods of possession to compensate for the possession that the conservator otherwise would have entitled during the period of active service.  To the extent the bill would amend court procedures for determining periods of possession, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
