No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to no longer require the Department of Public Safety to disclose whether an individual holds a concealed handgun license to any person submitting a written request. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house; otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
