No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 41, Election Code, to change the dates of the general primary election, the runoff primary election, and the presidential primary election. The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

The Secretary of State's office indicates effects from implementing the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.


Local Government Impact

Local government election officials indicated no significant fiscal implications are anticipated as a result of implementation of the provisions of the bill.
