HB1031 by Chisum (Relating to the use of certain voting equipment in certain elections that do not involve a federal office.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would provide an exemption from using certain voting equipment in elections in political subdivisions with a population less than 5,000 if the election does not involve a county or a federal office.

The bill would become effective immediately upon a two-thirds vote. Otherwise, the bill would be effective on the 91st day after the last day of the legislative session.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
