HB1035 by Riddle (Relating to the admissibility of certain hearsay statements made by a child abuse victim.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure by changing the age requirement for hearsay statements of child abuse victims and applying to statements that describe the alleged offenses.  The Office of Court Administration and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice do not anticipate a significant fiscal impact from this proposal. 


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
