HB1293 by Flores (Relating to licensing and regulation of event coordinators for combative sports.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code to provide for the licensure and regulation of combative sports event coordinators. 

 

Based on information provided by the Department of Licensing and Regulation, it is assumed that costs related to the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be covered by utilizing existing resources.

 

The provision of the bill requiring a person to hold a license or registration to act as a combative sports coordinator would take effect January 1, 2008.  The remaining provisions of the bill would take effect September 1, 2007.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
