Honorable Tom Craddick, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives
FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB1311 by Bonnen (Relating to requiring certain municipalities to disannex land owned by a navigation district. ), As Passed 2nd House
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code regarding a municipality with a population of less than 30,000, located in a county that borders the Gulf of Mexico and that is adjacent to a county with a population of one million or more, that annexed land owned by a navigation district without the district's consent and before the effective date of the bill.
Local Government Impact
Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
