No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends the Alcoholic Beverage Code relating to residency requirements for holders of a promotional alcoholic beverage permit.

The bill redesignates Alcoholic Beverage Code, Chapter 54, Promotional Permits, as Alcoholic Beverage Code, Chapter 50.  The bill also adds Alcoholic Beverage Code, Section 50.004, Nonapplicability of Certain Requirements to Permit Holders, which states the holder of a promotional permit is not required to be a resident of Texas. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2007.

The Alcoholic Beverage Commission anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the agency.
