FISCAL NOTE, 80TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

March 7, 2007

TO:
Honorable Patrick M. Rose, Chair, House Committee on Human Services

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB1385 by Villarreal (Relating to the regulation of certain employer-based day-care facilities.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Human Resources Code by adding a subchapter relating to the regulation of employer-based day-care facilities. It would require the Department of Family and Protective Services to develop a procedure for the issuance of permits to employer-based day-care facilities. The agency estimates there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
