No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 43, Local Government Code, to authorize a municipality to annex an area qualified for agricultural or wildlife management use, or as timber land. A municipality would not be allowed to annex an area unless the municipality offers to make a development agreement with the landowner as specified in the bill.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
