IN RE:
HB1505 by Lucio III (Relating to a fee to support intercollegiate athletics at The University of Texas at Brownsville.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Under provisions of the bill, the University of Texas System may impose on each student enrolled at the University of Texas at Brownsville an intercollegiate athletics fee in an amount not to exceed $7 per semester credit hour but limited to $5 per semester credit hour for the 2008-009 academic year and $6 per semester credit hour for the 2009-2010 academic year. Enrollment increases will generate additional revenue. The student services building fee will be locally assessed by the University of Texas at Brownsville.
