The bill would amend Government Code § 52.001 relating to circumstances under which court reporting firms, shorthand reporting firms, and affiliate offices are considered to provide services to the state. According to the Court Reporters Certification Board, the fiscal implication of the bill to the State is not anticipated to be significant. The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
