No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill transfers the statutory authority to administer the Texas Governor's Schools from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to the Higher Education Coordinating Board. TEA and the Coordinating Board have already entered into an MOU to transfer the authority to administer the Texas Governor's Schools, so no additional cost to the state is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
