Honorable Patrick M. Rose, Chair, House Committee on Human Services
FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB1752 by Rodriguez (Relating to a foster children's bill of rights.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 263, Family Code, to establish a list of rights to which each child in sustitute care is entitled. It would also require the Department of Family and Protective Services to inform children of their rights. The agency indicates that it could absorb the costs associated with the bill within its current resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
