HB1772 by Villarreal (Relating to reporting requirements for employers not covered by workers' compensation insurance; providing administrative penalties.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Labor Code to require employers to report certain information to the Division of Workers Compensation at the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) and requires the commissioner to adopt rules.

Based on the analysis of TDI, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
