No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize a municipality that adopts or proposes to adopt an ordinance regarding alarm systems to notify alarm permit holders that the permit holder may contract with a security services provider licensed by the Texas Private Security Board (board) to respond to an alarm. The notice, if given, must include the board's telephone number and Internet website address.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
