IN RE: | HB1832 by Riddle (Relating to specialized license plates and parking placards for vehicles of persons with disabilities.), As Introduced |
The bill would amend the Transportation Code to specify that a chiropractor may provide the prescribed medical statement regarding the need for a handicap placard for a person with qualifying mobility problems.
Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Transportation, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
The bill would take effect on September 1, 2007.
