TO: | Honorable Rob Eissler, Chair, House Committee on Public Education |
FROM: | John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board |
IN RE: | HB1844 by Howard, Charlie (Relating to the administration of certain tests to home-schooled students by school districts.), As Introduced |
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
School districts without a website would incur newspaper publication costs to maintain compliance with the bill. However, it is assumed that the overwhelming majority of districts would comply by posting reports on the district Internet website as authorized by the bill. Since more than 1,000 school districts currently have websites, fiscal implications are not expected to be significant on a statewide basis.
