Honorable Dianne White Delisi, Chair, House Committee on Public Health
FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB1895 by Howard, Donna (Relating to the immunization registry.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill changes the structure of the childhood immunization registry maintained by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) from opt-in (requiring written consent of a parent, managing conservator, or guardian before information could be included) to opt-out (permitting a parent, managing conservator, or guardian to request exclusion). DSHS indicates any costs can be reasonably absorbed with available federal funding.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
