No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prohibit the use of certain wireless communications within 100 feet of a voting station. At the discretion of the presiding judge, a notice of such prohibition may be posted in one or more locations at the polling place. The secretary of state would be responsible for developing the wording of the notice.

The bill would be effective September 1, 2007.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
