IN RE:
HB1972 by Delisi (Relating to requirements applicable to an attorney ad litem representing a child in a child abuse proceeding.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 107.004, Family Code, to allow courts to authorize an attorney ad litem to confer with a child or other individual by telephone or video conference under certain circumstances.  The Office of Court Administration indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within current resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
