HB2015 by Smithee (Relating to the reporting of claim information under certain group health plans; providing administrative penalties. ), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code to require the reporting of claims information under certain health benefit plans.

Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Insurance, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

Based on the analysis of Employees Retirement System and Teacher Retirement System, the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the health plans administered by those agencies.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
