No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to the right of an employee to time off from work if the employee, or a family or household member of the employee, is a victim of family violence or a violent felony offense. 

Based on the analysis of the Texas Workforce Commission, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

This bill would take effect September 1, 2007
