HB2068 by Hartnett (Relating to trial by special judge in civil and family law cases.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Under the bill a judge would be required to order referral of a civil or family law case pending in a district court, statutory probate court, or statutory county court to a special judge as agreed upon by the parties. Currently under statute the judge is authorized but not required to order a referral.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
