No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would change the criteria for the public education grant program (PEG), applying it to campuses that were considered academically unacceptable during the preceding school year.  

The bill would decrease the number of PEG campuses.  The impact on the foundation school program (FSP) and the Texas Education Agency's operations from these changes is not expected to be significant. 

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
