HB2232 by Corte, Frank (Relating to the amount of an administrative penalty assessed by the Railroad Commission of Texas for a violation of the Texas Surface Coal Mining and Reclamation Act or a permit issued under that act.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would the raise the maximum administrative penalty for each violation issued under the coal mining regulatory program administered by the Railroad Commission from $5,000 to $13,000.

The Railroad Commission estimates that the bill would  result in a gain to the General Revenue Fund of $24,792 per fiscal year.  


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
