The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to issue specialty license plates for persons who received the Legion of Merit medal. The bill would set issuance fees at $10 for the first set of plates and $15 for each additional set of plates. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2007.
