IN RE:	HB2313 by Rose (Relating to designating the second full week in May as obesity awareness week.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would designate the second full week in May of each year as obesity awareness week to raise awareness of the health risks associated with obesity and to encourage Texans to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in both houses; otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
