IN RE:
HB2345 by Anderson (Relating to the creation of the Texas Organic Agricultural Industry Advisory Board.), As Engrossed
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill creates a Texas Organic Agricultural Industry Advisory Board. The bill specifies that service on the board is considered an additional duty of the member's office or employment and therefore does not provide for either compensation or reimbursement of board-related duties. The bill does state that the Department of Agriculture (TDA) would provide administrative support to the board. TDA, however, anticipates being able to absorb any costs associated with those administrative duties within existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
