No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code relating to the eligibility of certain persons for an alcoholic beverage license or permit. The bill states that the Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) shall refuse permits for three years to individuals with an expired or voluntarily surrendered application for various allegations of violent and illegal offenses.
 
The bill would take effect on September 1, 2007.
 
TABC anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the agency.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
