No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to add the office of justice of the peace to those offices required to file a financial statement with the county clerk, and to reflect that addition with regard to requirements of the county clerk's office in maintaining those records. The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
