HB2501 by Gonzalez Toureilles (Relating to certain suits affecting the parent-child relationship referred to an associate judge.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code relating to child custody cases heard by an associate judge.  The bill would allow a party to request a de novo hearing before the court that referred a case to an associate judge.  To the extent the bill would result in additional court hearings, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would be effective September 1, 2007.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
