No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the membership and duties of the Public Safety Commission. The bill would amend Government Code, Section 411.003(b) which would add 2 additional members to the Public Safety Commission, takes away the ability of any 2 members to call a commission meeting, and requires the chairman to prepare an agenda and disseminate it to each member at least seven days before the meeting. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2007.

 

The Department of Public Safety anticipates no fiscal impact to the agency.
