TO: | Honorable Patrick M. Rose, Chair, House Committee on Human Services |
FROM: | John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board |
IN RE: | HB2554 by Kolkhorst (Relating to the organization and employees of the Department of Aging and Disability Services.), As Introduced |
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) assumed the bill would create an Assistant Commissioner at the same level as others already at DADS, a Director IV (B20). The department estimated the incremental increase in salary per fiscal year to be $11,987 in All Funds for 2008 through 2012, assuming the new position is filled at the mid point of the salary range. DADS indicated that the position would be eligible for Medicaid match. The incremental increase assumes the current Section Director position would be eliminated and replaced with an assistant commissioner position. The current Section Director for State Schools is a Director III (B19).
