No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code relating to the existence of a common nuisance on premises for which certain alcoholic beverages permits or licenses are held or sought.

 

The bill adding Alcoholic Beverage Code, Title 3, Subtitle C, Common Nuisance, establishes process and procedures for limiting an original or renewal of alcoholic beverage licenses under the common nuisance provisions. This bill would take effect immediately if a two-thirds majority vote in both houses of the Legislature is received. Otherwise, the bill would take effect on September 1, 2007.

 

The Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) states that there would be no significant costs to the agency to implement the provisions of the bill.
