HB2623 by Kuempel (Relating to the cancellation of a dating service contract within a certain period after execution of the contract.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend statute and provide a person may cancel a dating service contract and receive a full refund by sending written notice not later than the third business day after the contract date. The Office of the Attorney General indicates that new complaints and investigations may arise as a result of complaints to the Consumer Protection and Public Health Division within the agency; however, it is anticipated that any additional costs can be absorbed within current resources.
