The bill would amend Section 38.15(a), Penal Code, by adding to the list of actions that constitute an offense of obstructing governmental operation the act of interfering with a state, county, or municipal public health official while that person is performing their duties.
The bill would apply only to an offense committed on or after the effective date of the bill, which would be September 1, 2007.
