No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend statute and add Article 56.65 to the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure authorizing the Attorney General to obtain reimbursement to the Compensation to Victims of Crime Fund resulting from overpayments made to individuals. It is assumed that any additional costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
