HB2770 by Eiland (Relating to adoption of the Uniform Child Abduction Prevention Act.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code relating to adoption of the Uniform Child Abduction Prevention Act.  The bill would allow a court the discretion to find evidence establishes a risk of abduction of a child, and to order abduction prevention measures, including ordering the physical custody of a child.  To the extent the bill would amend court procedures in child custody proceedings, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
