No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure relating to the authority of investigators of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Office Standards and Education (TCLEOSE).

The bill would amend the Occupations Code, Section 1701.160 which states TCLEOSE may commission certified peace officers as investigators employed by the commission for the purpose of investigating a person licensed under this chapter. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2007.

TCLEOSE anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the agency. 

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
