No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends the Code of Criminal Procedure relating to the authority of investigators of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Office Standards and Education (TCLEOSE).

The bill amends the the Code of Criminal Procedure, Chapter 2, Article 2.12, which deletes a reference to Occupations Code, Section 1701.160 when stating investigators commissioned by TCLEOSE are peace officers.  The bill also amends Occupations Code, Section 1701.160 which states TCLEOSE may commission certified peace officers as investigators employed by the commission.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
