No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code by adding that the Adjutant General's Department (AGD) may adopt additional criteria for determining the recipient of the Texas Humanitarian Service Award which would include active duty under state authority in accordance with Title 32 of the United States code. An example of Title 32 status includes a named military operation, for example, Operation Jump Start which is a Texas Border Support mission or Task Force Confidence.

 

The Adjutant General’s Department has determined that the costs associated with implementing the bill are not anticipated to be significant and could be absorbed with current resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
