No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code relating to the authority of an associate judge in certain family law proceedings. The bill would require a court reporter to be provided when the associate judge presides over contested final termination hearings. To the extent the bill would amend court procedures, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
