HB2945 by Murphy (Relating to a municipality's method of compensating a person for the removal of a sign as required by the municipality.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize a municipality to pay the compensable costs to the owner of a sign that must be removed by allowing a sign to remain in place for a period sufficient for the owner to recover the compensable cost.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
