No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize a municipality to adopt procedures for the abatement and removal, as a public nuisance, of an abandoned on-premise sign or sign structure. The bill stipulates what steps must be included in those procedures.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2007.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
