HB2977 by Morrison (Relating to disposing of salvage personal property and purchasing by navigation districts.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Water Code to change the threshold amounts regarding when to use certain purchasing methods. The bill would also authorize a navigation and canal commission to periodically dispose of surplus or salvage personal property in the same manner as the commissioners court of a county.

The bill would take effect immediately if it were to receive the required two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2007.
