HB3044 by Martinez Fischer (Relating to the authority of a county to issue bonds to establish drug and alcohol rehabilitation facilities.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 1301.001(a), Government Code, to add establishment of drug-related or alcohol-related rehabilitation facilities to the list of items for which a county may issue bonds authorized under Subtitle A of Chapter 1251.

The bill would take effect immediately if it were to receive the required two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2007.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
