LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 80TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 16, 2007

TO:
Honorable Rob Eissler, Chair, House Committee on Public Education

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3092 by Hilderbran (Relating to considering for school district accountability purposes the performance of students confined by court order in a residential program or facility.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

There may be some fiscal impact on districts if the performance of students in a JJAEP has had a negative influence on their district or campus accountability ratings.  Depending upon the circumstances, districts may experience some cost savings for accountability interventions if the exclusion of the performance of students assigned to a JJAEP results in an improvement in ratings.
