No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Texas Education Agency to develop and make available to school districts a list of resources concerning internet safety.  The bill would require that the list include organizations and websites that would assist in educating teachers and students concerning the potential dangers of allowing personal information to appear on an Internet website, the significance of copyright laws, and the consequences of cyber-plagerism and theft of audiovisual works, motion pictures, software, and sound recordings through uploading and downloading files.
